North Korea’s United Nations ambassador Kim Song told the General Assembly on September 27, 2021, that “nobody can deny the right” of the nuclear-armed country to test weapons. Song’s comments came moments after South Korea’s military said the North had fired an “unidentified projectile” into the sea off its east coast.
